Another donation quilt started
A number of student groups that I work with had a Block Party tonight. Since I had to be there anyway, I set up some sewing machines, brought some precut fabric, and helped anyone who wanted to make blocks for another Community Quilt. This one will be donated to Quilts Beyond Borders. Most of the students had never sewn before, but they made great progress!

Very similar to the pattern I'm using for my family reunion quilt (from Arkansas). Nice. Yes, at demo's it's the boys who want to try sewing, not the girls.
I love to see young people getting involved in a project to help others. Thanks for helping them on the way.
Great project, Arkansas Crossroads is one of my favorite quilt patterns! It's nice to see the kids sewing, especially the boys. :)
