April Bee Block and balance

It is easy making a pretty block when you start with pretty fabrics.  This block will go out in tomorrow's mail to Melinda in our Let's Bee Together quilt bee.
April Bee Block for Let's Bee Together

What isn't easy is finding balance between actual quilting and blogging.  I get so much inspiration and sense of community from blogging, but once I get online, I find it hard to get off again to actually sew!  How do YOU find the right balance?  Do you time yourself?  Only get online at certain times of day? I'm open to suggestions.

Love the block.
I'm sorry I can't help you, I have the same problem. There are so many blogs I like to read, sometime I look up and it's time to fix dinner. All of my time is my own as my DH is on the road every week and DD is away at school, but I still spend way too much time on the computer. After blogs, etsy and ravelry there's not much time left.

Totally agree with you about the gorgeousness of that block.

I struggle with finding balance in pretty much every area of my life so I probably cant offer any suggestions. I do try to do the majority of my computer related activity in the mornings though because Im too stuffed by the time I get home from work. Ditto sewing - I lose my puff by evening usually.

I try to read and blog while I'm making dinner. I rarely have time to sew. The kids keep me busy with activities and by the time I get them all in bed, I'm exhausted and most often have my own homework to do. Only four more classes left to finish my bachelors!
