Bonus!

Why do I always feel like I am disclosing on here what I DIDN'T get done? (sigh)

So, I didn't get the 2nd baby quilt top put together yet, although I did get all the Indian Hatchet blocks pieced.

I REALLY wish I had enough blue/gray fabric for one more block because this is one quilt I think I would really like to be square (8 x 8), but since I used every scrap of that fabric already, it will remain a rectangle (7 x 9).  Or perhaps I make it 7 x 8...or maybe I move the "center" further down...we'll see once I start sewing it together.

And I am forcing myself to sew these blocks together before I tackle this tempting pile of BONUS TRIANGLES!  There is a mini quilt in here just screaming to be made!

Enjoy your weekend, everybody!

You still get lots more done than I do - don't be so hard on yourself! The baby quilt looks great. How big are the scrap triangles? (I'm assuming they are left from making the blocks in that baby quilt?)

That quilt is adorable! Could you add a couple of random blocks of a different color here and there to increase the size?

Looks really good. I might have to try this one.

Great looking quilt!!!! It's so great to use up a stash but only if I can complete the chosen pattern. I have just experienced the same situation!!! Did "make do", though. Hugs, Doreen

Looking great ...and those triangles ARE exceedingly tempting.

I think it looks great and I love rectangular quilts. I like the off center design.

If it was me, I'd find one "almost match" in the stash and make that last square to square it up to 8x8. Maybe use a piece of what you are planning to use for the backing. If it was a bright print, you could make the triangles out of the blue grey fabric. Just thinking . . . it is going to be a great quilt. And I agree about bonus triangles. I am piecing mine into "flock of geese" blocks.

Oh, I like that. I've got lots of bits of fabric lying around. So sorry to hear about your mother-in-law (I read back a few posts). My father-in-law fought cancer for 5 years. I'd made him a quilt when he was having chemo. When he was in the hospice he was always cold so my husband picked up the quilt for him and he just snuggled right down. He said "It feels like home." The quilt was covering him when he passed. I'm so glad. It was like being there and holding him. My mother-in-law left the quilt with the hospice for other patients to use. it's very warm - flannel.

Oh yum! Love the quilt, but what I'm anxious to see is the mini-quilt you make from those bonus triangles :*)

I like the off-kilter-ness of the design you did. Reminds me of the Nickelmania quilt we started with Anne Littleton a few years back. I am doing it in black and yellows (GT colors) and plan to do it off-center. It is one of my 50 UFO's!

I love love love this!!! I was wanting to do a scrapbuster and foresee this being the next quilt.
