Done is so much better than perfect

I'm off to drop my quilt and Jason's quilt off at the fair. After I finished the hand stippling (never again!), I decided to quilt some flowers inside the basket/cake stand. Since the quilt is so scrappy and colorful, I decided to put to use all those colored quilting threads I recently inherited. I'm not sure it was the best move, especially since some of the lighter colors don't show up, but oh well. (Who was that from MyQuiltBlog.com who sent those my way? I am drawing a blank. Anyway, thanks again!).
And it is DONE! Can you tell that I am excited to be free to focus on other projects?

MQB is a great group of quilters. If is nice to know that when one has an interest in a particular subject that there are others out there to offer encouragement and supplies. I find I get so much more done just b/c I want to share what I am doing. My live-body friends keep me well supplied in material goods and my cyber-quilting friends keep me smiling as I see their accomplishments. Good for you getting to use what was gifted to you. I have enjoyed seeing this project go-together. Mark me down for giving it a blue ribbon! cw

Dear Vesuvius Mama:
At first I didn't recognize you with so much hair! Now I know who you are. I've read a little of your blog. The boys are beautiful--just like their mom. Looking forward to seeing you next week at the wedding.

I like your philosophy, and I agree with what you said earlier about why you like to enter quilts in the show. I don't ever expect to win a ribbon, but I do like to share what I am doing, and perhaps encourage others to do the same. We have fewer this year than last, so it is good we are courageous enough to contribute!

I like the different colored threads, I'm glad you decided to try it. I think this colorful quilt was the perfect experiment place, looks great.

Beautiful Erin!! I decided to start a blog here too. I see the one on quiltblogger.com was deleted again. I knew I'd been absent for a few months because of the move and then not having the internet, but wow.
Take care and enjoy your summer!
