My Patchwork Life

Quilting is becoming an increasingly important and integral part of my life. My creative outlet changes how I view the world around me, influences the activities I pursue with my family, and introduces me to new people whose life paths wouldn't ordinarily intersect mine. My life is much like my favorite types of quilts - scrappy and unconventional, full of interest and surprises, and with an underlying current of making do (and making something beautiful!) with what I have.

Good Fortune Progress

I was still plugging away at Clue 7 of the Good Fortune Mystery quilt when the BIG REVEAL happened, so, of course, I abandoned Clue 7 in order to play around with the final layout. I love the spinning star block

and this secondary block seems warm and exciting to me.

Hello, little blackbird!

We'll see how well they play with each other and the THREE pieced borders in the final analysis.

I know they are a lot of work, but I LOVE pieced borders!

Awesome job! I haven't had time to play yet, but I have all the clues done except for the second half of 7. I love your purple and green.

I like your much better than the original! I was planning to just use my blocks in separate tops, but now I think I will play around with EQ and see what I come up with.
